Raymond L. Giddens Jr., MSW, LSW, has over eight years of experience working with the at-risk youth population. His expertise embraces the child welfare system, case management, counseling, and administration services. Mr. Giddens Jr. obtained a Bachelor in Social Work degree from Western Illinois University and a Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Mr. Giddens Jr. is in the process of obtaining his Ed.D in Human Services Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He obtained his social work license from the Board of Examiners for Social Workers from the state of Nevada. Mr. Giddens Jr. received a certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an executive certificate in Juvenile Justice and Child Welfare: Multi-System Integration from Georgetown University. Raymond current and prior associations have been with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (2003-2006), Unity Baptist Church (2003-Present), Maple Star (2006-2007) and the Clark County Department of Juvenile Justice Services (2003-2004, 2006-2007). Raymond holds memberships with the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., National Association of Social Workers, Nevada Youth Care Providers, Co-chair for the Clark County Housing Coalition, as well serves as Secretary of the Association of Black Social Workers- Las Vegas Chapter.
Joseph Wiley Director of Operations
Joseph Wiley has over 10 years of working with at-risk youth. For over 9 years he has worked independently in the community mentoring several young men and women in academics and other areas. Joseph volunteered several years with the Big Brother & Big Sisters program to help those in need of guidance and a positive male role model. Joseph is responsible for the oversight of the IT Department, Property Management and Building Management, and the Medical Billing Management. His past professional experiences involve providing administrative customer related services to various organizations within Clark County, Nevada. Joseph is currently in the process of obtaining a Certificate in Non-Profit Management at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Joseph has completed the College of Southern Nevada Student Leadership Academy Program & the Professional Development Certificate Program in 2010. He continues to pursue his academic career in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Joseph believes that the children of today are the future leaders of tomorrow. Shanyce Steward Executive Administrative Assistant Shanyce L. Steward is currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Human Services at University of Phoenix. She plans to obtain her masters degree in Social Work from University of Las Vegas, NV. Shanyce plans to become the founder of a childcare center to assist youth academics, decision making, and other forms of positive growth. Shanyce has been working with youth in a professional environment since she graduated from West High School in Bakersfield, CA in 2001. She is very active in the Las Vegas community. She has been the President of the Parent Teacher Student Organization since 2010 at her daughter’s school and she also participates in various engagements with her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. She knows that Unity Village Behavioral Health Center is a great asset to the Las Vegas community and that the company plays a major role helping to meet the needs of it’s the community, clients and their families. Robert Lawrence Program Coordinator Robert Lawrence has been working with at-risk youth in the foster care system for over 3 years. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2010; UNLV Certification from the Division of Mental Health and Behavioral Services in 2010 and he also successfully completed Choice Center Leadership University in 2011. As a Nevada State approved Qualified Mental Health Associate, Robert uses strategic methods to determine the most effective approach to best benefit the client. Through his membership with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. he has found much success in assisting members of the community in positive growth, mentorship, and academic achievement. He stands firm in his mission to prevent the continued risk of child abuse, neglect, drug abuse, teen-pregnancy, suicide, and the high school dropout rates among youth and young adults. Robert is humble in his approach and truly agrees with Unity Village Behavioral Health Center in knowing that it does, “Take a Village to Raise a Child”. Robert's future academic success includes graduating from Law School and practicing family law. | |
